Dick Stuntz, CGCS

 

President/Agronomist

Few individuals in the golf industry command more respect than certified golf course superintendent Dick Stuntz. As president and general manager of Alvamar Golf Club in Lawrence, Kan., (2006 to 2011) Stuntz's leadership improved golf and recreation operations bottom line profit by $1.1 million. He has earned numerous awards and citations for his expertise in golf facility operations and golf course management in his tenure as a golf course superintendent, he has mentored more than 40 individuals who have gone on to work in the industry. His expertise in zoysiagrass management has been sought from all corners of the globe. Extensive sport turf consulting includes 10 years as the consulting agronomist for the athletic program at the University of Kansas. Stuntz earned a B.S. in Agronomy with an emphasis in Turfgrass Management from Iowa State Univeristy.

Richard Konzem

Operations/Administration

Bringing more than 30 years of expertise to the team is Richard Konzem. His past experience has been split between intercollegiate athletics administration and chief operating officer for GCSAA. Konzem brings a strong business acumen and focus on enhancing operational efficiencies. He has deep supervisor experience in facilities management. An avid golfer, he received his B.S. in Business from the University of Kansas and a M.A. in Sports Administration from the University of Southern California.
